Research Methodology
The project employs an interdisciplinary approach, combining methods from artificial intelligence, urban planning, simulation, and visualization:
- Analysis of existing urban planning methods and best practices for microclimate improvement.
- Development of a conceptual system design for the AI-based planning assistant GAIA.
- Integration of GIS data, climate models, and digital twins.
- Implementation of natural language user interaction for intuitive use.
- Iterative evaluation of planning proposals through simulation and visual feedback.
The system is designed to actively support planners without replacing existing expertise.
